Q: How to use the Shopping Cart
Find an item that interests you and add it to your cart using either the check-boxes from a search results page, or the 'Add to Cart' buttons from any item info page. When you have chosen the items you want, you can review your cart by clicking 'Edit Cart' or clicking the cart icon which appears in the top-right corner of every page.
  • Step 1 - Review Your Cart. When you are in your cart, you will see all the items you added, any applicable discounts and the cart sub-total. You can remove or edit items form the cart. When you are ready to complete your order, just click 'Proceed to Checkout'.
  • Step 2 - Payment Info. Enter or confirm your credit card information here. Your details will remain secure with us.
  • Step 3 - Checkout. Review your order summary here, and make sure the payment information you have entered is accurate. If you have a discount coupon, you can apply it here. • Step 4 - Order Confirmation. Your order is complete! This page provides a summary of your order and a receipt for your records. An email will be sent to you confirming your purchase. You can access the items you bought from this page.

Q: How do I remove or edit the items in my cart?
You can remove items from your cart when you are in your shopping cart. When you are in 'Your Cart', use the check boxes to select any items you wish to remove and click the 'Remove' button. Selected items will be immediately removed from your cart.
If you have added a subscription product to your cart, you may edit the terms of the subscription by clicking 'Edit' where it appears next to the product description.

Your service will be cancelled immediately, and no further charges will be applied to your credit card. Please note that canceling a subscription will not refund any charges made to your account. Q: I am not ready to buy today – can I save the items in my cart?
Items that you add to your cart will remain in the cart for 30 days. If you would prefer to save some of the items in your cart until a later date, simply select the item(s) using the checkboxes in your shopping cart, and then click the ‘Save For Later’ button. Any items you save will be moved out of your cart, and will be displayed underneath the cart. You can add them back in at any time using the ‘Add to Cart’ button.
Q: Why do I have to log-in to add items to my cart?
If you select items to add to your shopping cart and you are not logged in to Reuters.com, you will be asked to log in or register. This is necessary because your shopping cart is tied to your membership account. Registration is quick and easy, and completely free of charge. Likewise, if you click the cart icon from any page before you have logged in, you will be prompted to log in or register in order to see the contents of your cart. This ensures that your cart is secure, and nobody else can access or purchase items using your cart.
Q: I tried to add items to my cart, but when I logged in the items are not available to me – why?
As a regulated financial services company, Reuters must conform to the regulatory rules of each country in which it operates. Reuters.com’s global network of websites – www.reuters.co.uk, www.reuters.com and www.reuters.co.jp – are bound by different regulatory rules which determine the products we can sell on each website. For example, if you are registered on the UK website, we are required to offer you only products that are available in the UK. So, occasionally, if you are browsing products on a different website to the one you are registered on, you may not be able to purchase the product you have selected. We apologize for his when it happens, and will try to offer you an available alternative.
Q: Why does my cart appear to be empty?
If you have not added any items to your shopping cart, it will appear empty. If you added items to your cart, or saved any items for later more than 30 days ago, they will have been removed from your cart. Items remain in the cart for 30 days.
Q: The price or date of an item I added to my cart has changed.
Analyst Research reports are updated frequently – often daily or weekly. To make sure you have the most up-to-date information, the most recent issue is saved in your cart. So, if you added a report to your cart today and came back in a week’s time, you might see the same report with a more recent date. Sometimes products are discounted for a limited period of time. If you add a product to your cart while it is discounted but do not complete your purchase that same day, you may find the price has changed when you return to your cart in the future.
Q: Why do I only have access to my report for 24 hours after purchase? What happens if I do not download the report within the 24 hour period?
Many of the analyst research reports sold on Reuters.com are updated on a daily basis; therefore if the report is not downloaded within 24 hours, the report data and date of publication may have changed by the time it is downloaded. For this reason we have to limit access to analyst research reports purchased on a one-time basis to 24 hours form the time of purchase. Once you have purchased your analyst research report, please download it immediately and save it to your desktop by using the File menu, or clicking the ‘Save a Copy’ icon in Adobe Acrobat for PDF reports. Once downloaded, the report is yours to keep! Unfortunately, attempting to re-download a purchased report more than 24 hours after purchase will take you back into the purchase process, as the report must be purchased again. You will never be charged twice for a report unless you complete the purchase process twice. You can view a complete list of all the analyst research reports you have purchased in My Profile.
Q: Why do I need to provide a credit card for a free trial?
We ask you to provide a credit card for some free trials so that we do not have to interrupt your service when the trial period expires. We will notify you via email (at the email address you provided with your registration) before the trial expires so that you may cancel your trial if you wish. If you cancel your free trial before the end of the trial period, your credit card will NOT be billed. You can cancel your free trial at any time during the trial period without being charged. Your credit card will never be billed without your authorization. Your credit card information is secure with us. Read our privacy policy.
Q: How do I get a discount coupon?
Coupons are sent to users periodically via email, based on their past purchases or special promotions. Coupons may offer a discount on specific products, a free service, or they may provide a discount which can be redeemed against any purchase for a limited time.
When a coupon code is entered at the Checkout page, the discount is applied to the shopping cart sub-total and the new total is displayed. The discounted total will be charged to the customer’s credit card when the ‘Place Order’ button is clicked to complete the purchase.
To make sure you don’t miss out, register to receive special offers and promotions. We will only send you emails from Reuters, and will never pass your information to anyone else – view our privacy policy.
Q: I am getting an error message when I try to apply my coupon - why?
Most coupon codes can only be redeemed against specific products. If you enter and apply a coupon code that offers a discount on a specific product without having the relevant product in your shopping cart, an error message will appear. To redeem the coupon, add the relevant product to your cart, re-enter the coupon code and click ‘Apply’ before placing your order.
Most coupons can only be used once. If you enter and apply a coupon code which has already been redeemed, an error message will be displayed. For full terms and conditions of use for each specific coupon, please refer to the email you received with details of the coupon offer.
